Happy New Year!

This past year has been a fantastic one both personally and professionally. I've seen the realization of two life long dreams, having a job writing from home and publication of my fiction.

They say the problem with having your dreams come true is that you then lack anything to strive for. The great thing about having writing as a calling is there is never a lack of dreams to realize. There's always the next book, the next assignment, the next stepping stone in this wonderful career.

For Christmas this year, I got a filing cabinet and book cases, things desperately needed as I had lost them in a house fire a few years back so everything was in piles around the room. As I was putting my works in progress and idea folders in the filing cabinet, I was filled with excitement and joy because everything WIP, every idea is a new dream, a new goal to work toward and I can't wait to share them all.

For me, the next step is to get a hard copy of one my books in my hands. I want that feeling of holding the pages in my fingers. If that doesn't happen yet with this current WIP Till Death Do Us Part, I need only look at my other WIP's and see the potential to see that dream come true.

I can only hope that this coming year is half as wonderful as the last one. But I know that if I use the same method I did to make that happen last year, hard work, persistence and a love for what I do, there's a good chance it will.
